BTS BAKKER Technical Services Ltd. was formed in May 2009 to capitalize on the major restructuring that has occurred in the automotive and general industries in Ontario. As a result of this restructuring, a pool of talent has been created with significant experience and knowledge in the fields of industrial & process engineering, automation controls, lean manufacturing, lean maintenance systems, productivity and quality improvement through variation reduction. John is a results-oriented leader with well developed business acumen. He draws on his demonstrated leadership and team building skills to integrate diverse groups, focusing them on a common objective and the development of creative business solutions. John is married with three grown children and is an active volunteer locally and internationally. |

The Founder and President of BAKKER Technical Services Ltd. (BTS) is John Bakker. John has 25 years of experience in the automotive industry and was released in 2009 to begin BTS with the closure of the award winning, General Motors, Oshawa Truck Assembly plant in Oshawa, Ontario. John possesses a wide range of experience managing large, complex projects; controls, IT and manufacturing engineering functions as well as maintenance and production operations. John has a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from Queens University, graduated from the Executive MBA program at the University of Toronto and is a Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario. John is a lean practitioner and a certified Jonah with the Avraham Y. Goldratt institute and has a decade of experience providing leadership in process optimization and the identification and elimination of bottlenecks and flow constraints.
